Thanks to a trade between the Cowboys & Seahawks, running back Christine Michael is returning to his home state. Michael is a Beaumont native who starred for Texas A&M. The Seahawks selected him in the 2nd round of the 2013 NFL Draft and he spent his first two seasons in Seattle before the Cowboys traded a conditional 7th round pick for Michael.
But this story isn’t about Michael’s statistics or where he may fit into a potential “running back by committee” approach the Cowboys are taking in replacing DeMarco Murray who joined the Eagles in free agency.
This story is actually a March 2014 new story from when Michael, still a member of the Seahawks, visited Baytown, Texas to help a special needs teenager.
Taylor Kirkwood is an autistic teenager and she needed a date to her prom. So an NFL star …. Michael, of course… agreed to be her date.
